In Memory Four Years and I miss you so (Archive)

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely days when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again.

Dear Brother,

It couldn't have been two years; it seems like just yesterday we were in the old swing. I was 13 and you three and we were swinging I'm sure to high for safety but I held on to you securely. I protected my little charge with all of my love and all of my life. I remember your little head nestled against my chest and your golden curly locks shimmering in the sunlight. You seemed more a sprite than a baby brother to care for and I thought myself so blessed to have been given to my charge the pure joy of an enchanting Elfin Child. I miss you every day and love you more than even I knew was possible. If on your travels you venture back in time; meet me at the old swing if just for a minute or two. Let us be safe, and young and worry free once again.

God speed my Elfin Brother until we roam the banks of the river in the Mystic Wood again.

  1. I remember when you posted that he had passed. It made me feel so sad...I'm close to my brother so I get the loss. It's a special relationship between brothers and sisters.

    My best to you,

  2. Your special memory of your brother is touching.

I tried to follow you back, but the follow button doesn't seem to be working.
