Trying the Impossible in a Small Space.

I'm still trying to arrange the living room. This whole open concept living is a little overwhelming. It seems rather impersonal to me. I'm used to designated rooms with certain functions. The doggies seem to have figured it out as you can see the red dog toy in the middle of the room. (Oct, 2024)

Today 6/18/2025

I don't even remember when I started this post! It has been a crazy two years. I finally found an apartment and moved into it. I was working full time, and the apartment came available just days before Christmas. The real problem came when everything was ready to go, and I found they had rented the same apartment to two people!  I won't go into the details now. It's a story for another time.

I honestly liked apartment living. I missed having a normal kitchen, and a yard with a clothesline. I had a lovely patio with a patch of forest right off my patio. I soon got settled in, and it was very comfortable.

Fast forward a year and a month, and I found myself unable to even stand with a fractured back and pelvis. Also, another story for another time. Almost six months later I am doing much better and staying with family in the absolutely beautiful foothills of NC. I can walk again now but recovery has been a slow process. Everything is in storage while I continue to heal. I can tell you wheelchairs and walkers are not my style. I am truly grateful that I am recovering, and I have so much to look forward to.

I have been able to visit some amazing antiques stores; Old Salem and I've even tried Suchi for the first time! I will be blogging weekly from this point on and tell you all about the ups and downs that have happened. I am glad to be back again and looking forward to catching up on all of your posts..

Next time I will be posting a proper introduction to this little gentleman. See you then and I wish everyone an amazing week!

  1. Well hello you! I am so glad to see a post pop up from you...finally! But now I understand the quiet...YIKES! A fractured back and pelvis?? What the heck? And your apartment being rented to two different people? Yes, you have many tales to tell us...and I'll be patiently waiting. ~Robin~
